Benefit global e-commerce: The government has taken emergency measures to take full advantage of e-commerce globally, under which SMEDA will provide all kinds of incentives to small and medium enterprises to boost e-commerce through Amazon.

Talking to Geo News, Hashim Raza, Chief Executive, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Authority, said that the share of SME sector in providing employment in the private sector is 78%. Preparing to take advantage of Hashmi Raza said that the volume of e-commerce in Pakistan is Rs 96 billion, our focus is on the most potential sectors, providing training to the youth of small towns, obtaining loans, technology and all kinds of support for marketing.

The SMEDA chief further said that in order to increase employment, all the resources of the provincial and federal government have to be diverted to SMEs. Amazon has recently added Pakistan to the seller list which will create innumerable employment opportunities.

Benefit global e-commerce: The dollar continued to appreciate on the third day of the trading week. The dollar rose 34 paise in the interbank market today. At the close of business, the US dollar was trading at Rs 158.53 on the interbank market. In addition, the value of the dollar in the open market has risen by 50 paise to 159 rupees 30 paise today.
